Torus Upgrade

Nearly four years since I made Torus I've decided to give the little game an upgrade. Many of the new effects were not possible back then when canvas implementations were new and slow. Give it a spin.

There are a few minor problems that I'll try to fix later. The changes include:

  • Smooth falling motion
  • Smooth left/right motion
  • Row clear animation
  • Slightly higher playing field
  • Visual indication of death zone
  • "Sparkling" blocks
  • New points system
  • New piece types (you'll have to wait a while to see these appear).

The menu has not been modified, it could be made to be more usable, I may do this at a later time. I first plan to make this available as an app on perhaps the Palm Pre or iPhone.
